Oregon ESP

One of the couples we met as we interviewed ESP parents for our book has been featured in a great piece recently published in their hometown newspaper, the Bend Bulletin. Jim and Michelle's story is told in Chapter 2 of the book and also in their own words in our Real Life Stories section on this website. In addition to being a wonderful illustration of the Equality foundation of equally shared parenting, they are a terrific example of purposeful conversion from a traditional relationship to an ESP one. We loved meeting them over the phone during the interview process. And it was so fun to see pictures of them for the first time in this piece.

Enjoy!

Congratulations! Glad to see you & Amy and Jim & Michelle getting so much recognition and the concept of the equal-parented/equal-provided family getting some publicity.

Having grown up in a troubled patriarchal home, I think often of how lucky your children are that you have done the work to pull this together. I imagine it is giving them a great start in life, whether they realize it now or not. :)

It's nice that equality is considered in their relationship and it should be the same for every couples out there! As two person are bonded in a relationship they must make sure that they are doing their best to help one another. Often times, the men are acting superior over their partners and that should not be the case because it can break their connection. The only way to make relationships work is non-other than to respect each other in an equal manner. top ten resume writing services
